I think I’ve seen my house a total of 4 waking hours this past week. Everything has been non-stop. I leave work and go straight to some youth event, or to Jen’s house. At work I’ve got non-stop deadlines. We have one client who needs on-demand attention and I’m on demand all the time. This makes it very difficult to schedule a day, much less a week. All this tends to make the days go by in a blur. It’s not something I particularly enjoy.

This past weekend Pastor Jay, all the other volunteer adults and myself took a van filled with youth to Rochester for “The Field of Miracles”. Those of you who grew up in Buffalo might be familiar with the Joshua Revolution. This is the same show, different venue. The event was huge, taking up the entire baseball field in Rochester and it was free to the public as well. Some of the key speakers were Reggi Dabbs (who we missed), Nikki Cruz and Becky Tirabassi. I was really impressed by Becky’s talk. She spoke a mile a minute and with such conviction that you couldn’t help but listen. When she challenged the crowd it wasn’t something you sat and pondered before reacting, you jumped as though you were answering a drill sergeant. I wanted to buy a recording of her just to pick up tips on effective public speaking…

Steve drove up on Saturday for the day which made the weekend all the more fun. My hands are still marked with purple bruises from playing a variation of a hand slapping game. Both my shoulders are yellow with bruises too after being introduced to another game where the punishment is physical abuse. Having 8 different teenagers punching and slapping you all weekend starts to add up. I don’t remember bruising like this though. Does that mean I’m getting old???

I feel your pain bro, Steve and I were teaching Nathan front hand springs… yea… at some point I became fat and out of shape, needless to say, I can’t do them well/at all any more, and I think I may have hurt myself… forever
