I met Greg at Monroe muffler this morning. He’s getting some last minute work done on his car before the three day trip to Seattle. He had briefly mentioned yesterday that he was giving away some of his stuff to his friends. A few days earlier he suprised me with 6-7 guitar books that he no longer reads. One of which being a complete anthology of Beatles songs, tabbed and chorded out with lyrics. I was happy to receive them.

This morning he walks back to his SUV and I see him pull a shotgun out of his back seat and he asks if I want it in my back seat or the trunk… A little concerned, wondering whether or not the general public would find it unusual to see someone toting something so lethal in the parking lot of an auto repair shop, I replied, ‘the trunk’.

I now own my first real weapon; I believe it’s a 20 gauge. I am a slug gun newbie but if memory serves me correctly the only shotgun I ever fired had a much larger diameter barrel and it certainly wasn’t a 10 gauge. Anyone wanna go hunting???

Though, as is so often the case nothing comes for free. Today is a happy/sad day marking the last of Greg’s employment with 360PSG (yeah that’s my company for all you who have been wondering exactly why I’m still in Buffalo after all these years). Congratulations to him for scoring a good paying job in a fun city, but he will be missed. Exiting with style, he finishes his work week to the sounds of YTCracker’s “Surge Runner” and Captain Jack’s “Only You
